My name is Dave Guningham and I am seeking your support in the forthcoming LDC election.

I am currently the Health and Safety Rep at Waterloo. This role has enabled me to deal face to face with SWT Directors on issues that I have raised. Also on one instance, a problem I raised regarding units in South Sidings with no Tail lamps, had to go all the way to the S.R.A. (formally H.M.R.I ) as the company and Network rail chose not to act on it. As a consequence this matter was resolved. So I am fully prepared to take issues to the highest level, if needed, as I won't let issues rest that need addressing, however long it takes to achieve.

I have been co-opted on a number of occasions and have a good understanding of the procedures that are currently in place for the management of Drivers

( SMD, attendance Procedure etc.) I have represented Drivers on a number of these! I have participated in many agenda meetings and have compiled Rosters and scrutinised Diagrams!

I have a good working relationship with the current management team at Waterloo and also at Director Level, as I have previously mentioned.

I feel I am ready to take the skills I have learnt to the next level by being a full time Rep to undertake the challenges that arise constantly. I will give the Waterloo members the best representation possible, carrying on the Waterloo tradition.

I will not make promises I can't keep but will make sure that when you need me, I will give you the best representation I can and will always listen to your views and wishes, and where possible and practical, endeavour to implement them.

Waterloo is a great depot to work at and I am proud to be a Waterloo man. I will always put the depot first and give my all to ensure that the Drivers are treated the right way!
